What the tool does
An assortment box with 83 Bowden cable nipples in various shapes and sizes for throttle, clutch, brake and choke cables.
When you need it
A snapped cable, a lost nipple, shortening or making up a new cable.
How to use it
Identify the nipple shape from the old cable or the lever (barrel, pear, cylinder, roller).
Cut the cable to length, degrease the end, fit the nipple.
Solder soldered nipples with soft solder and flux, secure clamp nipples with the grub screw.
Fit the cable, set the free play.
Without the assortment, exactly the one nipple shape you need is missing at the crucial moment.
Fray out and tin the cable end before soldering; the nipple will then hold even on clutch cables.
