What the tool does

The smaller sibling of the 125 cc fixture: a hardened pulling fixture for the drive sprocket of the Sachs 50 cc engines. It gives a standard 2 or 3 leg puller a clean point to engage behind the sprocket. Supplied with instructions.

When you need it

When the sprocket sits tight on the gearbox shaft and would only come off with force or with damage to the casing without the fixture.

How to use it

  1. Remove the sprocket nut and its locking device.

  2. Fit the fixture behind the sprocket as per the instructions.

  3. Fit a leg puller onto the fixture and pull it off evenly.

  4. Secure the key, clean the shaft stub.

Without this tool

Legs gripping directly behind the sprocket slip off or press against the shaft seal and the casing.

Workshop tip

The leg puller is not included. A 2 leg puller with a 50 to 75 mm span fits.

Fits

  • Hercules K 50, Sachs S, GS 75
  • Other models from Hercules, KTM, DKW and others with a Sachs engine
