What the tool does
A steel clutch puller with a hardened, loosely fitted pressure pin for the Puch Maxi. The pin does not turn with the screw as it is tightened, so there is no friction and no upsetting of the gearbox shaft.
When you need it
Removing the clutch for lining changes, springs, the shaft seal or gearbox work on the Maxi.

How to use it
Remove the clutch cover, loosen the clutch nut using a holding tool.
Screw the puller into the clutch thread until it seats.
Tighten the pressure screw against the gearbox shaft until the clutch springs off the taper.
Remove the clutch, secure the key and thrust washers.
The Maxi clutch sits on a taper. Levering bends the clutch basket, blows to the shaft damage the gearbox bearing.
Clean the thread on the clutch basket before fitting the tool. The tool must be screwed all the way in, otherwise the thread does not carry the load.
